The public interest advocacy group Defending the Republic (DTR) recently brought to light nearly 15,000 pages of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine clinical trial data. The records were obtained following a successful Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
What these documents reveal, according to DTR, is a concerning "utter lack of thoroughness" in the trials, calling into question the safety of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine, named "Spikevax."
The litigation with the FDA, ongoing since 2022, was initiated by the group to demand the release of data submitted by Moderna in support of its application for vaccine approval. Consequently, the FDA has agreed to produce around 24,000 pages of Moderna records by year's end, with these 15,000 pages being the initial installment.
A damning revelation in the released data includes a study report showing 16 individuals who died after receiving the Moderna vaccine. DTR's statement reveals, "The study’s authors indicated that out of those 16 deaths, only two autopsies were performed, five of the dead were not autopsied, and the autopsy status of nine of the dead was 'unknown.'"
What is striking is that these details did not deter the study conductors from concluding that the Moderna vaccine was unrelated to these deaths – a conclusion reached seemingly without substantial evidence.
One specific case highlighted by DTR involves a 56-year-old woman who experienced ‘sudden death’ 182 days post her second dose of the Moderna vaccine. With the cause of death unestablished and no autopsy conducted, the group implies a deliberate avoidance of investigating suspicious deaths potentially linked to the vaccine.
The disclosed clinical trial data also enumerate instances of vaccine recipients diagnosed with post-vaccination Bell’s Palsy and Shingles, with several cases of Shingles onset occurring less than 10 days post-vaccination.
Furthermore, the records indicate a worrying number of serious adverse events within the vaccinated groups, including instances of heart attacks, pulmonary embolisms, and spontaneous miscarriages.
The evidence presented in this initial release of documents puts a spotlight on the urgency for thorough investigations into the vaccine's safety. As we await the remaining 9,000 pages, one can only speculate what further concerns might be unearthed.
