At a recent House Select Committee hearing on the Covid-19 pandemic, former Long Beach Mayor and current Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) had the audacity to step back into the limelight. His star performance? Parroting a mainstream narrative about the supposed safety and efficacy of Covid-19 vaccines. Like a well-rehearsed puppet, he ranted about a tweet from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), resulting in the whole hearing devolving into a farce.
Let's not forget, this is the same Garcia who was nothing short of a disaster during his tenure as Mayor of Long Beach. Under his so-called leadership, the city struggled with escalating crime rates, a crumbling infrastructure, and a skyrocketing deficit. The man couldn't effectively govern a single city, yet here he is, blabbering about national health policy.
The irony is bitter, if not surprising.
Garcia's love for Big Pharma's narrative is as baffling as it is disappointing. His unwavering faith in the safety and effectiveness of the Covid-19 vaccines isn't grounded in facts or scientific scrutiny, but a blind allegiance to a profit-driven industry. A moronic stance, if you ask me.
